Tololwa Mollel has drawn on his passion for literature, theatre, storytelling and performance to write books for children, plays and stories for performance. Many of his books have songs or lend themselves to and have been adapted for performance. He adapts his plays from traditional African tales, and he crafts stories that he helps to adapt into performance in schools in Canada and the U.S. Mollel has also expressly crafted stories for performance by arts groups and organizations ranging from the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra to Alberta Dance Theatre.
